Reading has always been an escape for me, as romance novels were always my go-to choice as they guaranteed a happy ending. I don’t want to watch a film or read a book that doesn’t end happily. This does somewhat limit my choices, but I want to be lifted up, not dragged down.
This month’s top picks from my kindle library are a rollicking Vegas wedding romcom, a steamy romance with a scorching hot firefighter, and a magical and glorious love story between a police officer and a six foot three woman who keeps getting into too much trouble courtesy of her wayward grandfather. I just adored these books. Two of the writers are already one-click authors for me, and the third is set to join them. Read on to find out more!
Oh. My. God. This month I had my heart, imagination, soul and libido handed to me on a plate courtesy of some absolutely epic reads. I love it when I start reading a book and right from the beginning I know I’m in safe hands but about to be taken on the ride of my life. I’ve got a second chance love triangle romance, a glorious alien romance, and a reverse age gap trope survivalist love story for you.
If you’ve been scrolling through the bookstaverse on Instagram, you will have invariably come across ‘edits’. These are collages of images that allude to elements, scenes and characters in a story. Usually made by fans, they can also be created by authors, and are a wonderful way to create a mood and add visual context to the book they reference.
This month we’re heading down the rabbit hole with Alice and off world with some new alien totty. I’ve been a huge fan of Kayley Loring for a while now, and her latest book - Good Vibrations - takes the title and runs with it. It’s got singing vibes, surfing vibes, beach vibes, and a scene with a vibe that will make you extremely hot under the collar, all set against the backdrop of Alice in Wonderland (the musical). And from this delightful frothy fun, we go dark and brooding with a mad alien warlord and another badass alien descended from a dragon. Whether you love laugh-out-loud romantic comedy, or…
Three hot rich dudes, baby goats, stinky cats and Christmas. This month I was researching rom coms with illustrated covers, and discovered stories that will make you snort-laugh, tear up, and get all hot and bothered. Annika Martin, Olivia Spring, and Natasha Boyd are incredible indie authors at the top of their game. They’ve produced page-turning corkers that are brilliantly written and phenomenally edited. Reading them was an absolute delight and I loved every second. So, if you fancy a sexy Frenchman, a billionaire who puts the chemistry into chemist, or an alpha roll who can make you sizzle from thousands of miles away, then you need these books in…
This month, love is in the air! I’ve selected three fabulous books for you that join passion and air travel with the good ole’ US of A! We’ve got a hot pilot and a flight attendant who share blinding passion and dark secrets, a wannabe romance novelist who flies from New Zealand to New York to chase her dreams, and a couple thrown together for a round the world, once in a lifetime trip. These are super-charged stories guaranteed to blow your mind as well as your undies, so check yourself in for some first class, page-turning loving!
f you’re in the mood for high octane, super-charged, filthy romantic comedy then the three books I have for you this month will knock your socks off, as well as the rest of your clothes. If you’ve ever wanted to know what happens when you make pizza toppings spell ‘fuck you’, what happens after you have several orgasms in a lift whilst cursing the person giving them to you, and what happens when an entire town bets on when you will have sex, then you need to read these books immediately. All three are by American authors, and each one is bold, brash, hot and hilarious. I absolutely loved them…
Ladies and gents, be prepared. Your underwear is about to go up in flames. This month I’m turning up the heat with three scorching stories that will have you reaching for the ice pack, or whatever else you need to cool you down… We’ve got an Italian stallion in a Tuscan castle, a porn star in LA, and a hot computer geek in Sonoma, with more muscles than Henry Cavill on steroids.
This time I’m going leftfield, with three books that are gloriously bonkers in very particular ways. ‘Early Riser’ takes place in an alternate reality, where each perilous winter, most of the earth’s population hibernates, ‘The Rearranged Life of Oona Lockhart’, shows us what happens when, every New Year’s Eve, Oona is transported to a different year of her life, moving backwards and forwards through time, and in ‘Bonk’, we learn about the real and surreal world of sex and science.
