Author Information

Evie Alexander

Evie Alexander is a multi-award-winning author of sexy romantic comedies, blending snort-laugh humor and panty-melting chemistry into unputdownable stories that will steal your heart.

When she’s not dreaming up swoony heroes and relatable heroines, Evie can be found in the beautiful West Country of the UK, where she lives with her ridiculously patient husband, miracle daughter, and two dogs who think they run the show.

Tagline:

‘Tis the season to fall in love.

Blurb:

Leo Foxbrooke is Ella Chamberlain’s best friend, her rock, and the one person who is absolutely, 100% off-limits.

Kind, charming, and unfairly gorgeous, he’s the heart of Foxbrooke Manor. Meanwhile, she’s the girl who just got dumped, lost her apartment, and landed on his doorstep days before Christmas, looking like the ghost of bad decisions past.

Moving into his family’s fairytale home is supposed to be her chance to regroup, not lose her heart. But then she ends up in the room right next to his and somehow gets roped into the town Christmas play as his Cinderella. Those ‘practice kisses’ on stage? They’re setting her world on fire.

Leo’s always been her steady, unshakable constant. The one person she can count on, no matter what. But risking everything to follow the spark growing between them? That could cost her the one thing she can’t live without – him.

Christmas off Script is a messy, magical, and oh-so-steamy story of risking it all for love. If you’re looking for festive fun, fiery chemistry, and a guaranteed happy ending, this standalone romcom is the perfect holiday escape!

Reviews:

We appreciate each and every review.

Reviews are expected on a minimum of four platforms, three of which must be storefronts — Amazon, Apple, Barnes & Noble, Google Play or Kobo (It’s free to sign up to Apple, Barnes & Noble, Google Play or Kobo).

We also welcome and appreciate you copy and pasting your reviews to any other platform not listed above!

A quick message about your review:

We have noticed that some of our ARC team have used AI to write their reviews. If you need to use AI then you must personalise your review, then run it through AI recognition software such as https://gptzero.me/   before you post it to ensure that no AI content can be detected.

Secondly, Amazon are removing, not accepting reviews, or blocking readers posting reviews for reviews that contain the following words:

ARC

In exchange

Free copy

Bookfunnel, Netgalley, the publisher, Emlin Press, or any alternative platform

An honest review in return

To try and get around this issue, please can you substitute with phrases like:

I had the chance to read this story early, and I…
I was grateful for the opportunity to enjoy this book before pub day, and I…
I was fortunate enough to dive into this book ahead of time, and I…
This story landed in my hands early, and it was…
I had an advanced peek at this novel, and it’s…
I got an early glimpse of this book and…
I had the pleasure of reading this one ahead of time, and I…

We have no idea if these suggestions will get around this problem, and if you have any other suggestions then we would love to hear them!

Thirdly, something we’ve learned is that reviews get more attention from the algorithms that put books in front of people if they are more than just one or two lines, and are unique content.

Examples of not so algorithm-friendly reviews.

“I loved this book! Can’t wait to read more from this author. It’s five stars from me!” 👎

“ [insert full blurb – this is not classed as original content] I loved it when [insert multiple spoilers]. Five stars!” 👎

Great reviews will have the following:

  • Five or more lines of text (the more lines the better)
  • Unique content (one or two quotes from the book are still good though)
  • Does not include the blurb for the book (I understand some people will obviously copy from their blogs. However, if you can remove the blurb when adding it to your review on the various platforms, this means people reading your review can get straight to your actual review and don’t need to read heaps of reviews for a book where everyone has added the blurb. The algorithms also identify reviews containing mostly the blurb as not original content and they risk getting moved further down or even hidden in some search results).
  • Explaining why you loved the book, rather than just telling the story
  • No spoilers
  • Images are an added bonus
  • Consistent ratings. If you rate it 5 stars on Amazon, please give it the same rating on Goodreads.
  • If the book simply wasn’t for you and you want to rate it 3 stars or less, I would prefer you decline to leave a review or (as per the terms and conditions,) leave it one month after publication day.

If you want to use any of the graphics we’ve created and any of the hooks and blurbs, then don’t forget you can find them all on this page!

Remember, if you have any issues with completing your reviews or accessing your ARC, just let us know!

We also welcome your review on any other platforms you use!

*As per our terms and conditions (repeated at the bottom of this page), your review should not contain spoilers, and if you choose to give a 3 star review or lower, you will not post your review on any platform until three weeks after the eBook release date.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:  Our ARC campaigns are handled by Booksirens.
